Networking Breakfast: L&I Need to Know for Small Business
Meet, mingle and network with local business professionals. Join us in person* at the Edmonds Yacht Club, or tune in remotely via Zoom.
For this special edition of our networking breakfast, we especially encourage any new or expanding business owners to join! Our speaker will share essential information about L&I requirements and services for employers.
Celia Nightingale has led the Dept. of Labor & Industries' Small Business Office for 7 years. The office provides assistance to business owners, conducts statewide outreach and education, and represents the interests of small businesses to agency staff and policy makers. Additionally, the office works with business organizations, contracting with many to help ensure that knowledge about L&I requirements and resources reaches Washington?s numerous and diverse small employers.
Celia has spent most of her career in support of small business, including as director of the Thurston Economic Development Council's Center for Business & Innovation, as the Olympia area director for the Washington Small Business Development Center, and as an instructor at South Puget Sound Community College. She has private sector experience in commercial lending, human resource management, and accounting, helps manage her husband's consulting business, and has investments in two other small businesses. She holds an MBA from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business.
Are you excited to share what your business is doing? Have events or new services coming up? Edmonds Chamber business members are invited to present to the community at our Networking Breakfasts. Email Erica Sugg to schedule your presentation!
