The office provides assistance to business owners\, conducts statewide outreach and education\, and represents the interests of small businesses to agency staff and policy makers. Additionally\, the office works with business organizations\, contracting with many to help ensure that knowledge about L&I requirements and resources reaches Washington?s numerous and diverse small employers. \n\n \n\nCelia has spent most of her career in support of small business\, including as director of the Thurston Economic Development Council's Center for Business & Innovation\, as the Olympia area director for the Washington Small Business Development Center\, and as an instructor at South Puget Sound Community College. She has private sector experience in commercial lending\, human resource management\, and accounting\, helps manage her husband's consulting business\, and has investments in two other small businesses.
