This April we are reviving the Green Edmonds campaign, which was in the works back in 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. Green Edmonds is a climate action engagement campaign coordinated in partnership between the Edmonds Chamber, Ed! (Edmonds Downtown Alliance), the City of Edmonds, and the Parks Department. The goals of the campaign are to:
What’s happening:
For two weeks in April, each organization will be using its channels to amplify our member’s eco-conscious actions and to share ideas with the public about how they can do the same.
This campaign will mostly live online on our social media platforms, but there are some in-person elements as well. We are offering small chalkboards which you can use to write your own climate action pledge and also make it available to your customers and clients to write and post their own. You may also request a Green Edmonds window cling to display and demonstrate your participation in the campaign.
In addition to the social media campaign, the following events have been scheduled:
How you can participate:
If you would like to have a chalkboard and/or a window cling at your place of business, please fill out this form. Supply is limited; first come, first serve.
Whether or not you host a chalkboard, please consider creating a post sometime between April 8 and 24 about how your organization plans to (or already does) make efforts to limit your environmental impact. Use the hashtag #greenedmonds and tag @edmondschambercommerce and we will share it on our social.
We hope you will participate! If you have questions, please email erica@edmondswa.com. Thank you for helping to make Edmonds more green!
