Edmonds, WA: Have you been a gardener enjoying the fruits of your labor and wondering how to share that joy with others? WSU Snohomish County Extension Agency has useful educational programs and training that may be right up your alley.
Kate Ryan, Agriculture Program Coordinator with WSU Co. Ext. Agency is manager of the ‘Growing Groceries’ Program, which offers educational training & certification for those interested in becoming garden mentors.
On Oct. 8th Kate will present a ‘Growing Groceries’ overview, discuss growing food in small spaces and current trends in food production . This will be an excellent opportunity! In addition you will learn about community outreach & educational work in our area that share the same goal of growing food to feed families.
This informational workshop runs from 10am to noon on Saturday, Oct. 8th at Edmonds’ Coldwell Banker Bain mtg. room, 108 5th Ave So. Edmonds 98020.
Everyone is welcome. Workshop is free though donations are encouraged to benefit Sno. Co. ‘Growing Groceries’.
An active member of the Edmonds community since its founding in 1922, the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club runs an array of local events that foster community-building including sponsoring gardening workshops and seminars, and providing scholarships for horticulture students.
